چکیده

The striking resemblance of high multiplicity proton-proton (pp) collisions at the LHC to heavy ion challenges our conventional wisdom on formation Quark-Gluon Plasma (QGP). A consistent explanation collectivity phenomena in pp will help us understand mechanism that leads QGP-like signals small systems. In this study, we introduce a transport model approach connecting initial conditions provided by PYTHIA8 with subsequent AMPT rescatterings study collective behavior energy collisions. dependence light hadron productions from is reasonable agreement $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV experimental data. It found comparisons both partonic and hadronic final state interactions are important for generation radial flow feature transverse momentum spectra. also shows long range two particle azimuthal correlation events sensitive proton sub-nucleon spatial fluctuations.

Nuclear like effects in proton-proton collisions at high energy

We show that several effects considered nuclear effects are not nuclear in the sense that they do not only occur in nucleus-nucleus and hadron-nucleus collisions but, as well, they are present in hadron-hadron (proton-proton) collisions. The matter creation mechanism in hh, hA and AA collision is always the same. The pT suppression of particles produced in large multiplicity events compared to ...

Note on the Impact Parameter Analysis of High Energy Proton Proton Collisions ∗ )

Following a prior analysis of measured pp elastic differential cross sections, the impact parameter representation in terms of profile functions is calculated from two different parametrizations of single diffractive dissociation data. The derivative of this quantity with respect to the collision energy squared s measures the growth rate of the reaction’s blackness. Its distribution in impact p...

Coherence Time in High Energy Proton-nucleus Collisions

Precisely measured Drell-Yan cross sections for 800 GeV protons incident on a variety of nuclear targets exhibit a deviation from linear scaling in the atomic number A. We show that this deviation can be accounted for by energy degradation of the proton as it passes through the nucleus if account is taken of the time delay of particle production due to quantum coherence. We infer an average pro...

Quark production in high energy proton-nucleus collisions

In this note, we discuss the problem of quark-antiquark pair production in the framework of the color glass condensate. The cross-section can be calculated in closed form for the case of proton-nucleus collisions, where the proton can be considered to be a dilute object. We find that k⊥-factorization is broken by rescattering effects. PACS. 11.80.La Multiple scattering – 11.15.Kc Classical and ...

Photon + Hadron Production in High Energy Deuteron (Proton)-Nucleus Collisions

We apply the Color Glass Condensate formalism to photon + hadron production cross section in high energy deuteron (proton)-gold collisions at RHIC. We investigate the dependence of the production cross section on the angle between the produced hadron and photon for various rapidities and transverse momenta. It is shown that the angular correlation between the produced hadron and photon is a sen...
